Bringing to life the AI Playground and creating the perfect environment for networking opportunities…

Google Next is an annual global exhibition for the latest technology innovations - with live sessions that aim to inspire, innovate and educate. We were tasked with developing the AI Playground, an area that would showcase Google’s AI capabilities, as well as post-event networking parties for various attendee levels.

We designed an experience that immersed delegates into the spirit of Google Next, with hands-on learning in the AI playground, and networking opportunities within an immersive, innovative environment.

We built multiple spaces to display Google’s latest AI technology within the AI Playground.

The first space was an AI-powered penalty shootout. Delegates were invited onto our Google Cloud branded pitch, to take aim and shoot at the goal. Performances were recorded using Google Pixel 7 phones, and then scored by AI according to their power, accuracy and style. Participants could then see their positioning on the leaderboard and were each gifted a branded footballer card with their shot analytics.

The second space was the AI-powered Drone Derby, a test-and-learn obstacle course for coders to race drones. Delegates were taught to program the drones using Google AI, coding them to move in certain directions based on the shapes they passed through. The drones were then timed, to see which participants were quickest through the course.

Following the exhibition, we hosted an afterparty with the Digital Native team for 300 guests to enjoy a drink, have a bite to eat, and network. Audience took over a blank canvas venue and created an environment that was vibrant, upbeat and relevant to the audience. For senior leadership, we hosted a Leaders Circle reception drinks for 180 VIP C-Suite guests at the iconic Shangri-La Hotel within The Shard. We provided all entertainment, transportation and management for both parties.

Moving past the exhibition, we’ve taken all the best bits from Next on the road, creating a kit of parts that brings Google Cloud’s platform to life for their UK and European B2B clients. The kit is a vibrant space that fits within office environments, enabling Google Cloud to network and showcase their new platform to prospective clients.
