This ambitious event sought to raise the profile, and create a platform for a new, combined funding strategy for the Royal Marsden and diabetes association, JDRF. Their aim was to host a live communication event that garnered support for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Our aim was to not only create an event that would inspire, encourage and entertain the high-net individuals invited to contribute to the campaign; but to promote the brand partnership and provide a high-end live engagement event.
Our creative strategy took the medical theme and played on it with a glamorous re-invention of Englefield House: including test tube chandeliers and pill-shaped seating that sat alongside the stately backdrop. Luminaries such as Rory Bremner, Ralph Fiennes and Justin Webb encouraged guests to donate by lighting a lantern on the lake for every £1000 raised. With a final total of £750,000, we inevitably ran out of lanterns.
